4 Months

On Saturday Ed Jr. celebrated his 4 month birthday by hanging out with Adrienne and her mom all day (Ed Sr. and Adrienne's dad were rafting). I am not going to lie to you and tell you that it was the most joyous of all days. It seemed that as the day grew on, when Ed Jr. wasn't fussing, Adrienne was, and back and forth it went. Maybe it was the heat, maybe it was that we pushed their limits by tromping them all over town. Plus Ed Jr. puked ALL DAY. A lot. I don't know if anything stayed down at all. By the end of the day both of our clothes were soaked with sour milk.

Sunday was a much better day. Hardly any puking and a major baby milestone. Rice Cereal!

We also celebrated Miles (14) and Grandpa Bill's (58 million) birthdays. Miles and Selma got a bone, Grandpa Bill got a new BBQ. It is his birthday and christmas present, but at least it is big enough to hold food for the whole lot of us that are always chowing down over there.

Rice cereal - great at first, but like all things new and exciting, ended in crying. The first few bites he kept spitting it back out, and his daddy wanted to give up, but I kept on until he was figuring out how to swallow it. I am sure next time will be much better.

This last photo is for his Auntie Liesel who can be seen here dropping in to some pretty big whitewater (use the single arrow to advance and see all of the action).

Ed Jr.'s cousin Faith is one wild woman. And that is why we love her so!

17 Weeks and 3 Years

Today little Mr. Ed Jr. is 17 weeks old. That makes him 3 days shy of 4 months old. Today is the first day in his 9 month clothes. I actually got a little weepy pulling his 3-6 and 6-9 month clothes out of the dresser last night. He is growing up so fast. Although I am very excited for him to grow up so that I can play with him some more, I am realizing that having an infant was/is pretty fun too.

Yesterday was my first big day at work since he was born. I was there from 9-4. It was a long day. I had to pump at work. It was moderately successful, thank goodness I have all sorts of cute photos of him on my phone to look at while I pump.

On to better stuff. . .

The biggest news of the day is that it is Ed Sr. and my 3rd wedding anniversary. It seems like we have been together a lifetime. I will never forget our wedding, it was a hot but beautiful day at the Blacktail Ranch outside of Wolf Creek, MT. I got as sick as a dog and spent our entire wedding night barfing my guts out. No, it wasn't the wine, it was what we lovingly refer to as the "Andervirus" brought to us by Ed's best man Josh, all of the way from Coleville, WA. After me, it hit our entire raft trip party, sans "Don't Mess With The" Jess and Heffe. I can't complain too much about getting sick at the wedding - at least I had indoor plumbing.
What did I get Ed Sr. to celebrate our anniversary - nothing. Oops. We are going to dinner without Jr. Thanks to Granny Sheree for babysitting. It can't be much worse than our second anniversary where I was flying to Cincinnati just a few days after finding out I was pregnant. Although I don't know if it will quite stack up to our first anniversary we spent it recovering from a hangover/getting re-drunk in our front while playing croquet after Ryan and Jolyn's wedding the night before. All of our friends were there, it was pretty hilarious.

Happpy Anniversary Ed - I love you more than ever. Thank you for everything, you are an awesome husband and an amazing father.

The happiest days of my life have been spent with you. You keep me laughing constantly and make me feel safe. I love every ounce of you (farts don't weigh anything). Thank you for marrying me.

Baby + Wig = Big Laughs

Big Day - Lots of Camera

Last night at his unofficial weigh in, Ed Jr. tipped the scales at 20 pounds. I would say that is pretty darn big for a (not quite yet) 4 month old.

We had a big weekend visiting family. We went to Great Falls to hang out with Nanna, Poppa. While we were there, we cruised over to say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to aunt Lisa and uncle Jack. Saturday, Ed Sr. participated in a carp fly fishing tournament. He caught a 7 pound carp, it was ugly. Maybe someday Grandpa Dan will send us a copy of the photo. . .

Sunday we beat feet home to see Ed Jr.'s great grandparents. They were very happy to see him. They say that Ed Jr. is one good looking boy, but doesn't look anything like his momma. Faith on the other hand, according to my grandma, looks exactally like me. I love it.

Enjoy some photos!

My new favorite photos.

Ed Jr. eyes Smelma. She is NEVER up to any good.
Ed Jr. laughs at his mom's joke. Bad joke.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Grandpa John - we wish you the happiest birthday! We can't wait for you to come see us!

XOXO

It IS a Small World

Our world is pretty small, but it feels HUGE. We don't do nearly as much as Ed Sr. and I used to do in an average week, but the few things we do - do are a big freaking deal.

We went to Alive at 5 last week. Ed Jr. was pretty good, minus a melt down when he got tired. We go to the Farmers Market in the stroller and last night we even went to a bar - yes we took the baby to a bar. Don't worry, he didn't have anything to drink. With the smoking ban in Helena, I guess that is more okay than when I was a kid?

Ed Jr. is also very excited about the johnny jump up on loan from the BEAUTIFUL Adrienne Mabel.
