1 week

Graham still sleeps ALL OF THE TIME even after one week! Is it too early to assume that he will be a sleeper? His brother didn't sleep until he was 18 months old, so we are due.

We celebrated his one week birthday by having pizza with his Nona and Pappa. He slept through the party.

Jr. has taken to trying to trick us at bedtime by yelling out "I need to poop (0r pee) in the toilet!" so we go back in his room and then he sucks us in to talking to him just a little bit longer. But, how can you deny that request?

Graham the photos

I used to think that people who said that their babies slept through the night the first night home from the hospital were lieing liars. Now I know that such a baby exists and he is amazing and beautiful. He is so incredibly sweet and sleeps all of the time. And cute.

His brother is adjusting *okay*. He is very good about sharing his mom with Graham, he just wants to hold him and go pick him up without assistance. You don't want to scold or say no to that, but he is a little too rough for the the fragile little baby.

These are all out of order but I am too tired to organize them in chronological order. Sorry. I put some more on my flickr account.

This post is going to be pretty lame. No photos. I promise more later!

We came home last night and had dinner at home. We were all pretty happy to be out of the hospital. Jr. was kind of weird. Wanting to lay in the cosleeper wanting to nurse but then Cissy showed up and he agreed to eat and chilled out a bit.

The best moment of the night was nursing Graham while reading to Jr. in my very own bed.

Graham had a pretty good night. I don't feel like a total zombie. Just part zombie.

I just want to say thank you so much to Liesel! You were amazing on Monday! If law doesn't work out you would make a fantastic doula. I love you so much. Graham and I miss you!

Graham Aaron Coleman

Born 7/19/10 7:25 PM. 8 lbs 14 oz 21 and 1/4 inches long.

He is healthy and strong. Labor wasn't bad, pushing was downright good.

We are so lucky. Congratulations to us indeed.

Walleye

Jr. caught his first fish on Saturday! It was a walleye - or a perch. I don't know which one was first, but he was pretty jazzed about it. He also got to drive Erik's boat and spend the morning fishing with his dad. His third fish broke the line on his Batman fishing pole, but we are going to get that fixed so he can head out again.

He then celebrated with Adrienne for her 2nd birthday in the afternoon. There have been reports that it was an awesome party and Adrienne was, of course, charming, lovely and super excited for all of her gifts. I am so sad I missed it!

I had to lay almost nude in the chilly basement and take a nap. The exhaustion overcomes me, it is a combination of the heat and the weight and pain. I have been checking in on the chat groups of moms who are also 39+ weeks and none of them write about the sheer discomfort they all talk about how excited they are and such. They are in denial or don't want to seem ungrateful. Oh yes I am excited, I love to lay in bed and imagine what it will be like to hold my new little man. I dream about what he will look like and what we will call him. I also have dreams about being able to bend over again or even put on regular shoes.

I am also as big as a house and my hips are falling apart. Do you think they make cool suits for fat people? If I could get me one of those and a rascall I would be set. Just motor around wearing my refridgeration unit. Honking at kids to get out of my way. Jr. could ride with me - with his helmet on, of course.

He will be here soon enough. So soon, my mom came over this weekend for a while to help tidy more things up just in case he was a little early. She is a cleaning/organizing machine. It will be good to have her here after the baby is born to hang out with Jr., to make him feel special and watch Princess Frog with him endlessly - only the princess parts though!

The countdown until his due date is 4 days away. Yes 4 days. What else takes 4 days? Ship a package to Florida? Get approved for a home loan? Ideas? People at work keep bugging me about the due date - I decided that if I am still pregnant on the 15th and still at work, I am going to get a giant cake and make all of them eat it with me to celebrate the all important due date. It will likely be an ice cream cake from DQ because those are delicious.

Little Mr. Holiday

We spent independence day slacking ass around the house and independence evening at the Wileys. There were burgers, beer, corn on the cob, root beer floats, watermelon and toddler friendly fireworks. Carter was en rapt, Jr. was way more into the giant sand mountain in the alley. Greta took a much needed nap. Jr. did really like the smoke bombs.

You know you are in the right place to buy fireworks when the cowboy owner of the fireworks stand is there with his 4-wheeler complete with a gun mounted to the back and a chihuahua with a Harley Davidson vest. God Bless America.

I was just happy for an extra day off. The other woman at work who is pregnant and 3 weeks behind me told me today that everyone at work comes up to here and says "at least you aren't as big as Autumn." I told her that she was going to miss me when I am gone. With that, we enter week 39. Do I think he will come early? No. Have we picked a name yet? No. I am going with Baby Stink until I lay eyes on him. And maybe he will stay Baby Stink, although legally changing his name to Kid Stink or Teenager Stink at a later date might be a bit more legal work than I am committed to. . . Paging Aunt Liesel Esq.

A little bit of extra one on one time with Mr. Sweetness isn't a bad thing. Jr. spent the weekend working on a 2 year old molar (teething is still a nightmare) and dropped a stool on his dad's toe and broke it - the toe, not the stool. But nonetheless, still my Mr. Sweetness.

Thanks to my mom and aunt Lisa for coming over on Saturday to help us get organized for Baby Stink's arrival. They sorted through MOUNTAINS of baby clothes, did laundry, organized and planted flowers. Now, if I could just keep them for a couple of weeks. . .
