Ed Jr.

Ed Jr. is learning to breathe and taking practicing breaths. This means he gets the hiccups frequently. Right now he has the hiccups and bad! It is so strange to have your whole belly jerk but know that you have no ownership over the movements.

Every morning as I sit and drink my coffee, he moves around and kicks my ribs. It is a very special time of the day for me. I really look forward to it. I sit quietly, he stretches out, I read the on-line news, we listen to NPR, we enjoy breakfast and I mentally prepare for the day. I wonder if he looks forward to our morning ritual? The rest of the day usually flies by and I am busy busy busy, noticing only his strongest kicks or punches, but it is the morning time where I can really feel him move in my belly, I can really feel how big he is, his feet, his little butt and his hands. I like to think about what he looks like in there. I am positive that he is quite handsome.

I hope that after he is born, we can enjoy our private breakfast time together.
